Saturday November 10th - Hot Shop

Expand your creative expression in glass by combining glassblowing and sandblasting! Graal (rhymes with small) technique allows you to incorporate fine detail into your work and expose different layers of colour to bring your ideas to life.

This is a three-day course. On the first two days (November 3rd and 4th) you will learn sandblasting techniques to add a detailed design on the prepared blanks with two layers of colours. You will also learn annealer programming and prepare the blanks for pickup. On the third day (November 10th) you will pick up and blow out your prepared blanks, and also make new blanks for your next pieces.

This is an intermediate-level course, and previous glassblowing experience is required. Please contact us if you are uncertain about qualifying for this course.
